Week 100 Bergen Norway

 Wow the time has come!

My last email, I will be super busy next Tuesday so this is my last time writing. It's crazy to think my time in Norway is done! I've learned so many things I don't even know where to begin. I am so eternally grateful for the time I have spent here in this amazing country serving the Norwegian people. Missions are the best thing in the world, you put a bunch of 18-21 year old kids in the most selfish time of their life and tell them to serve a group of people they have never met. It has been very humbling, spiritual, hard, and a blast all at the same time! I don't think there will be a day that goes by where I don't think about the amazing time I've had here. These two years have impacted my life in ways I never could have imagined and has set my life on a path that leads to true eternal joy! This past week was packed, we were in Stavanger for zone conference and had splits there. After we got home we had 2 days in Bergen. We were packed with appointments and running back and forth between lessons and less actives. Our friend is really praying about Baptism and seems like she really wants it but is just a little hesitant. It'll come sooner or later though! Then we woke up Saturday and drove to good ol Ă…lesund!! Agh, it was a dream to be back there in the summer. The drive is just insane and we had decent weather besides some fog on 2 of the sights we stopped at. But we had a packed schedule as well, we met up with a ton of former investigators that me and Elder Lindberg taught! This one dude named Roger would always just say, "come in" and we'd walk in and have a lesson for like 20 minutes then dip. And I called it literally pulled up just knocked then walked in and taught the plan of salvation and got his new number and walked out it was fire. Then we had church on Sunday and the gang pulled up! We had a whopping 10 in church it was sweet. Then we visited Kjell, Marianne and Kimbo, the father and son we baptized here and they are just the best!! Then we went on a hike with Fride and she just impresses me, she's literally the only young adult here and she just grinds. She reads and follows the commandments even though absolutely no one around her does it. Then we had an amazing drive home! Super solid way to go out. We're gonna grind this next week and finish strong. Love you all and see you next week đŸ‘€

Week 99 Bergen, Norway

 Another fire week in Bergen!

We've had tons of time to contact on the streets this week it was a blast! We've been literally blessed with weather and it's like record breaking hot so that's been good to get a tan going. We played a lot of sand volleyball this week as well, we just pulled up to the court and smoked some people then got their Facebook. As my buddy Jim likes to say "kicking butt and taking names" literally. Then we had church and the rules are getting better here so more people pulled up it was awesome!! Then for the first time in 7 months we had in person zone conference!! So we are here in Stavanger and flew in yesterday and will have splits and zone conference here then head home for 2 days then road trip 8 hours to Ă…lesund which was my first area! We had like a zone p day it was dope, we played sand volleyball and basketball then grilled some food. President and Sister Tew pulled up and President Tew was throwing heat on the court, that man is a legend. 67 and still showing us young bucks how to play! Then outta no where some Norwegian dudes pulled up and we pulled the typical play to teach and President Tew was like " alright were stacking our team" and picked the 6 best of us and then we smoked them so they had to listen to the first lesson and take a book of Mormon then we got their Facebook and Instagram. Again kicking butt and taking names! Hope you all have a solid week! I think I only have 1 more of these or something.

Week 98 Bergen Norway

Another good week has flown by!

The big three are grinding here in Bergen. We had awesome weather again this week, which was a blessing! We played some sand volleyball with some dudes I met on the trolley and they were way cool! They were asking tons of questions about why we are here and what we do so that was cool. Then out of nowhere this dude pulled up and asked if he could play so we finished off our last set of games then he started talking to us and said he just moved to Bergen like a week ago, is christian and looking for new friends! We told him why we're here and he said he'd pull up to church on Sunday so that'll be dope! We did a lot of street contacting with the good weather and found some potentials so that was also good. We have a young mom that we gave a book of Mormon to 2 weeks ago and we should be going on a hike and having a lesson with her this week so that'll be exciting as well. We did some less active work this week which was good but for some reason they all think they need to feed us every time we go there and it was a lot of food. And for those of you who know me I'll eat just about anything except hot dogs and tree nuts. I've managed to eat both of them on my mission but I'm still not the biggest fan of either, especially when it's frozen microwaved hot dogs. But it's alright I actually don't mind them now if they're grilled nice and crispy over a fire. But then we met up with this dude my companion found on Facebook and he was dope! We played a game call Kubbe and grilled food. He thought it was so cool that God would help us learn a language so that we could preach his word and was just shocked that we could all speak Norwegian. He's a professional break dancer from Columbia but grew up here and loves food as well. He said he wants to meet up again so we can hopefully start teaching him as well. Then today we visited Voss! If you ever see the fancy Voss glass water bottles that say, "Artesian water from Norway" this is where it's from. The only reason I remember it is because in the movie grown ups the kid of Adam Sandler asks for a Voss water and the waiter says, "we ain't got that fancy artesian water... we got tap water" haha good times. But then we just ate some good kebab's and went shopping. Life's good and being a missionary is so awesome, being able to see miracles everyday is such an amazing experience!
