Week 28 Alesund Norway

Aye everyone hope your all doing well!
This week was pretty good we found a new couple to start teaching and knitting with so that's dope. But we also took some Ls this week for sure hahaha. It's ok though we laughed about every one of them so we made the best out of it. So first off one of our solid investigators just texted us and was like " Hey, I actually think I'm going to go to the Jehovas witness church instead." So that kinda stunk, It's sad now too because she had the cutest little boy and now he doesn't get birthdays or Christmas anymore but hey everyone has their free agency so it is what it is. Then after that we we had good splits with the Bergen Elders. They came for a p day and we showed them a dope hike and bought some kebab pizza wooooo that stuff is AMAZING goodness. We then had the baptismal interviews with our homies and they're so ready! Their baptism is the 26th,  I'm super stoked for those two studs. Then after the boys left we realized Eldste Rasch took Linbergs bus card back to Bergen so we couldn't take the bus anymore and we had to take the car everywhere, which stinks because you can't contact people when you drive and that's one of our go to ways of finding people is public transport contacting. So because we had to drive a lot that means we have to find parking as well, and in this tiny city with roads the size of sidewalks it's impossible. So we found some spots that were free and legal and we went to town and bonked tons of doors. We found two potential people and then walked back to our car. It's been crazy with the weather here so it's been hailing/ raining / snowing all week long with CRAZY strong winds so we walked back to the car in the down pouring rain and found a nice fat ol yellow parking ticket on our car. I was so mad I just started laughing, I don't even know why I was like man this couldn't get any worse. Then I look on the ticket and it was like 100 bucks and it was because I parked to close to the cross walk. Then that night Lindberg decided to change his password to his phone and then FORGETS it, so he has to get his phone wiped and loses a lot of stuff from that. But other than that we had a fun week full of laughter and crazy weather, but the dope thing is the big bright ball In the sky came up over the mountains for the first time in almost a month and a half so that was dope. We had a cool teach with this college kid this week about the Plan of Salvation  and he was so shocked at the thought of living forever and being with your family so it was cool to let him know that! He loved it and said "thanks boys I learned a lot today" so I am excited to see where we go with him. Other than that pretty average week just a lot of finding, a lot of contacting and trying to find more people who are prepared!
One thing from my personal studies, I loved this week, was the story of Nephi when he broke his bow. He had the only working bow that had enough power to kill animals. He ends up breaking it and his family is angry with him, but instead of complaining or blaming it on other people he goes out and makes a new one. He doesn't whine or expect God to just place a new one outside his tent. He goes out and does what he can with what he has, and then asks his dad to inquire of the Lord where to go.

"23 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did make out of wood a bow, and out of a straight stick, an arrow; wherefore, I did arm myself with a bow and an arrow, with a sling and with stones. And I said unto my father: Whither shall I go to obtain food?"

I like this story because in life we all have times where our  "bow" breaks. We have hard things that happen, difficulties come our way when we least expect it. But instead of complaining and feeling sorry or blaming God and losing faith in him, we should use the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We need to do all we can with what we have then let the Lord do the rest. But we have to ask him in faith and work our hardest as well! Never give up and NEVER lose the testimony that we have built up. One of my favorite scriptures is in D&C 6:36 " Look unto me in every thought, doubt not, fear not!" That scripture rings truth and I know if we do turn to the Lord after all we can do he will help us. And that's a promise from Him. Hope you all have a good week and continue to trust in the Lord!

Eldste Spaddy 👌🏽

I was really busy this week so not a lot of time for pics! I'm taking a flight to Stavanger for Zone Conference today and our flight was delayed so now we missed our flight from Oslo to Stavanger.  So we have to wait for another hour or so before we can go. It's crazy!!
A few things I love,  America and Ford in Norway!
